Purchased the Asus USB-BT400 Bluetooth 4.0 as recommended on the Compatibility page and started fresh and still had input lag. Wind up returning the 8bitdo controller and the bluetooth adapter. I'm currently using RetroUSB retrokit to use original SNES controllers and they work great, if you want to add that to the list. http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=44
After playing an NES game I press Hot key + start to close the game. When I do that I'm presented with a black screen and I can hear the menu music in the background. I can press start and bring up the menu to restart the system, but everything else is black.
