    • Unterstützung für rc6-Fernbedienungen von z.B. Intel NUCs?

    • RE: Request: Support for HDMI-CEC (turn on tv, switch hdmi)

To provide some more technical documentation:

Support for HDMI-CEC is part of the Linux kernel since v4.8.
      https://01.org/linuxgraphics/gfx-docs/drm/media/kapi/cec-core.html

The CEC adapters made by Pulse Eight already support this and can work as a compatible adapter on x86/x64 machines.

    • RE: Recalbox 7.0.1 on rails!

@acris said in Recalbox 7.0.1 on rails!:

      recalbox 7.0.1 is out.
      https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/-/blob/master/RELEASE-NOTES.md

The release notes say that you've made a fix for HDMI-CEC not working on the Raspberry Pie 4.

Does this mean you've also added support for libCEC like it's done in Kodi? That would allow HDMI-CEC to work on many more systems like Intel NUCs that use an HDMI-CEC module made by Pulse-Eight.

    • RE: How to setup 6-button controller?

      Thanks for the helpful diagrams.

However, how come that the button layout for the Saturn and Mega Drive / Genesis controller differs for the X, Y and Z buttons? I would have expected them both to share the same button mapping so that the work the same for all Genesis and Saturn emulators.

    • RE: Request: Support for HDMI-CEC (turn on tv, switch hdmi)

Here‘s a guide on how to manually add CEC support to EmulationStation on a Linux-based system. Maybe this code could just be incorporated into Recalbox and included in the settings menu similarly to how it‘s done in Kodi?

    • How to setup 6-button controller?

I‘ve bought a number of SEGA-style 6-button controllers like the retro-bit Saturn bluetooth controller or the M30 by 8BitDo.

Since both EmulationStation and RetroArch basically assume a SNES/PS-style 4-button layout, how is one to get those 6-button controllers to work properly with the available SEGA emulators?

I‘ve already tried mapping the Z and C buttons to L1/R1 or L2/R2. But depending on which SEGA emulator I‘ve tried, I never got the buttons to work as intended.

    • Request: Support for HDMI-CEC (turn on tv, switch hdmi)

Any progress on finally implementing support for HDMI-CEC right into Recalbox.

Among other things, CEC-support would allow the Recalbox-system to automatically turn on the TV and switch to the proper HDMI input. Or allow users to use the regular TV remote to navigate the Recalbox menus.

Kodi already has this code baked in and it works even when run from within the Recalbox build. Why not use that part of the code and extend it to Recalbox itself?
