The file that worked for me is the "old format hiscore.dat" as indicated in the manual
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/lr-fbalpha
And I placed it in [system]/fba/ folder ([system] being my bios folder)
As indicated by barbudreadmon above.
Thanks a lot to you all and see ya !

RE: Highscores for street fighter 3 third strikeposted in Emulator Arcade/PC/Console
Ok I just did it.
My hiscore.dat file was not valid.
Now it works.
But the highscores are erased if I load a savestate, is there anything I can do to be able to load a savestate without erasing the highscore ?
Thanks again for your answers and all the work there is behind. -

Ok thanks, I'm gonna do it all over again from the beginning. I'll post the results when I'm done.

@barbudreadmon said in Highscores for street fighter 3 third strike:
Make sure you have the hiscore.dat file in your
[system]/fba/folder ([system]being your bios folder), and that you enabled hiscores in the core options.Yes I think so the path is : "recallbox/share1/bios/fba"
And I just made a few more tests : my autosave works but the autosave is deleted if I open the game in netplay or if I load a previous savestate (witch was predictable)

RE: Highscores for street fighter 3 third strikeposted in Emulator Arcade/PC/Console
I looked a bit around and I think my version of fba (2.97.43) is the last one so i misunderstood : the thing I have to update is my retroarch.
I just read this : https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/8801/update-retroarch-is-it-possible-how-to-do-it
Is there any tutorial for compiling it ?
I use lubuntu so I already compiled once or twice but I'm not sure about how that works with recalbox.

@barbudreadmon
Yes my hiscore.dat is in that place. and it is activated in the core options, still it doesn't do.
I'm gonna search for a newer version of FBA.
Thanks -
RE: Highscores for street fighter 3 third strikeposted in Emulator Arcade/PC/Console
Thanks for your answers.
I activated highscores in the core option but while verifying that, I just saw that I can activate autosave for FBA in the advanced settings of recallbox. It WORKS ! Highscores are saved and even number of credits.
But is it the point of highscores.dat or is it a way of by-passing my problem ?
I'm going to upgrade retroarch and test without autosave.
Thanks again and have a nice day ! -
Highscores for street fighter 3 third strikeposted in Emulator Arcade/PC/Console
Hi,
This is my first post so first of all thanks everyone for all the great work you did to allow people to play on all these old systems !
I read a couple of topics about the highscores in fba and I tried a few things like that : https://gitlab.com/recalbox/recalbox/issues/323
But still, the highscores are not saved for my streetfighter game (3rd strike)
Is there something I can do about that ?
My version of recalbox is 18.07.13
it has Retroarch 1.7.3
I use FBA V0.2.97.43
And the whole thing is on a usb stick plugged in a Dell desktop (optilex GX620)
Thanks for reading.
