Hello, I also updated. Splash screen and roms with no sound. Recalbox menu with sound. I use 3.5 jack / sound and HDMI for the monitor. Now I have completely replayed everything. Splash doesn't work but Recalbox Menu and Rom :-). I strongly suspect that there is a bug here. Entries in Alsmixer are also not saved after a restart.
