I experience the same problem with RPI3 too.
As I remember the sound worked on the version 6.0, unfortunately I couldn't update sooner.

Hi Lukas, I had a look, on the version 4.0.0 beta 3, but the "wiring pi" package needed to enable Witty-pi is missing in this version. I have send a pull request for version 4.1.0, sorry for the inconvenience. Bonjour Laurent, J'ai à priori le même problème avec le portage de linapple (Emulateur Apple II). As-tu modifié le package buildroot de SDL pour appliquer le patch et l'as-tu publié sur recalbox-buildroot, ou comptes-tu le faire ? En tout cas, un grand merci pour ton post, tu m'évites une grosse migraine.
