i have the same problem : i'm using the last version 17.12.02, i have controllers.steam.enabled=1 but it still doesnt work.

i can not map any buttons. it somehow detected my steam controller as a xbox controller but i could press any buttons it didnt do anything at all.
i tried again today it didnt even detected it as a xbox controller, there is just nothing.

I've tried to disable PS3 controllers, tried to plug my steam controller but nothing works.

any ideas on how to fix it ? thk
