I saw a reddit post recommending to use the Android mode on the SN30 Pro, and that seems to resolve my issue

RE: Anyone have a SN30, Pro?
@oyyodams
I don't think I've ever connected a USB drive to the Pi. Just a USB bluetooth dongle that I no longer use (don't think I've plugged that in for weeks) -

RE: Anyone have a SN30, Pro?
@oyyodams hi, thanks
The SN30 Pro does not have factory reset. Only a disconnect and force disconnect, and dedicating pairing button. I've removed and repaired it many times but the results are the same.I tried running the support script on the recalbox web console, but it throws an error: certificate is not yet valid
I'm not sure what that means

Anyone have a SN30, Pro?
I have been having issues with pairing this controller.
But the biggest problem is, after the controller is paired and working, when the Pi is restarted, the controller will pair/connect, but it doesn't work -- no input.It lists the device in bluetoothctl, and the controller indicates that it's connected, but I get nothing. Might there anything I can check to see why it's not sending input after the reboot?
Also just wondering if I was not alone in this

RE: Issues with TV on 4.1 Pi3
So Vizio has actually told me that it may be a resolution issue from the Pi3 because the HDMI port that I'm using (I need to use this particular port because it's the lowest latency port) is meant for:
2160@60hz 4:2:0 Chroma 10-Bit color 1080@120hz 4:4:4 Chroma 10-Bit color
Is there a recent change in 4.1 that could have affected the video output? Because this only started happening with 4.1. 4.0 was always fine.
Even though it seems to be sporadic in 4.1I'm not seeing 1080p @ 120hz as an option here https://elinux.org/RPiconfig
Is that option just not possible on the Pi3?

RE: PC x64 + GTX 1070
@rockaddicted Does the same go for a GTX 960 (guessing other nvidia cards as well)? That's what I have.
glxinfo shows 3.0 and not 3.1: OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 13.0.0
Does that mean that this is an issue with the manufacturer and drivers? Or just support within recalbox?

RE: Issues with TV on 4.1 Pi3
Guess I spoke too soon. I had a computer hooked up to the same HDMI port and I eventually got the same issue when rebooting it. Must be a TV issue.
Tried to delete the thread but couldn't. -
Issues with TV on 4.1 Pi3
So I have this strange issue with video glitching. Sometimes when booting up, the boot animation and sound with freeze and the audio will keep looping a short clip over and over. Just rebooting usually fixes that.
But a bigger issue is terrible constant video glitching (like this https://streamable.com/4q4dz). It seems to happen at random times, but almost always happens when launching a game.
What's weird is, turning off and on my TV again will clear the glitch temporarily. But when I exit the game back to ES, it happens again.
I thought it could be a TV issue, because I haven't seen it happen when hooked up to a monitor. However, none of my other devices or computers do this when hooked up to my TV, so it's something between the TV and the Pi3 specifically.
But also, it didn't happen on 4.0
Could there be certain video settings in recalbox that could cause this? Or any changes to 4.1?

RE: High bluetooth latency on 8bitdo controller
I reinstalled 4.1 stable and now my USB dongle isn't working at all ;
Just says working for 5-10 seconds and doesn't find anythingedit: when i add the dtoverlay to the config file, the dongle doesn't work either. I'm guessing that disables BT system wide and not just the onboard BT?
Anyway the latency after installing the stable release is more acceptable now.
Thanks

RE: High bluetooth latency on 8bitdo controller
@substring I did try the dtoverlay to disable, but that didn't work -- bluetooth is still on
I did notice/realize though that I'm on 4.1.0-DEV. If that could have any impact, is there a way to "upgrade" to the stable 4.1 without re-installing from scratch?

RE: High bluetooth latency on 8bitdo controller
@idarius Yeah I'm on 4.1, using a SoundBot SB340, and newest 8bitdo firmware.
Not sure what else to try.
The only thing I've left to try is to use an pre-2.0 8bitdo firmware because if I recall correctly the latency wasn't as bad as it is now@Substring Ah ok, as long as the onboard wouldn't interfere with the performance of the dongle than I won't bother disabling it.

High bluetooth latency on 8bitdo controller
I'm using a NES30Pro and the bluetooth latency is all over the place and makes games unplayable. Latency is fine when plugged in with USB.
I've tried it with the onboard bluetooth, and then with a USB dongle.
However I did not disable the onboard bluetooth when the dongle was in. How can I do that to see if that makes a difference? I tried setting the "controllers.bluetooth.enabled=0" in the conf but then the USB dongle didn't work either.
