Je voulais me débarasser de tout mon ancien hardware SNES maintenant que j'ai Recalbox pour faire de la place, mais malheureusement je n'ai pas trouvé d'alternatives pour les manuels, qui contiennent souvent des informations importantes pour comprendre le jeu. Est-ce que c'est sur la feuille de route pour bientôt? Est-ce que c'est une fonctionnalité sur laquelle on peut voter lorsqu'on devient Patron? Merci!

For anyone stumbling on this thread later:

• I tried all possible rom combinations (USA/Europe, Tosec/Redump, etc) and none was working for these 2 games.
• I started trying to change some Retroarch settings (ex: high level emulation, windows CE, etc) for Flycast and the games started to work. I thought it was the settings, but when I reverted everything to see which one exactly made the difference, the games still worked...

So basically, solution is: touch a retroarch setting, restart the game. Once the game work, revert the setting you changed, and the game will continue working afterwards, even after a full shutdown.

I got a redump romset (in chd version), all my games launch with Flycast. It seems there's something else going wrong.

Hi @Scavy, unfortunately, the REDUMP roms don't work either. However, instead of a black screen, I see a menu with play/files/music/settings, but it still won't start the games.

Any other ideas for roms that don't work with Flycast (but work fine on Reicast) ? Thank you.

concerning dreamcast games, i hardly recommand you get one from the REDUMP romset, converted to .chd if you want to get more space ^^
Reicast is no more developped, Flycast took its place.
For a Dreamcast use, a RPi4 is a better choice

Hi @Scavy , on the Recalbox Wiki, both the Flycast page and the Dreamcast FAQ recommend TOSEC instead of REDUMP, is that no longer the recommendation?

I will try Redump roms to see if they work better and will revert here, thanks.

J'hésite à sélectionner mon Superpi4 dans le menu "Gestion des boîtiers", car j'ai lu que cela cause un ralentissement du GPU. Est-ce qu'un dev pourrait vérifier si la dernière version de Recalbox est impactée svp?

J'ai vérifié du côté de Retroflag, et leur script active toujours UART pour Recalbox.

J'aurais bien vérifié moi-même, mais malheureusement Recalbox ne supporte plus les commandes comme "vcgencmd measure_clock v3d".

I just upgraded from a Pi3 to a Pi4 (both using 8.1.1), and noticed somes Dreamcast games that were working before (Hydro Thunder, Power Stone 2) now only show a black screen after boot. I realize it must be because Pi3 was using Reicast while Pi4 switched to Flycast. My other games still work.

I read that Recalbox won't support Redream because it's closed source, so my question is: do you have any plans to add Reicast support as a backup on Pi4 so we can select it for games that don't work on Flycast?

Otherwise, is there a way for users to add Reicast? Hoping it's not too complicated, as from my limited experience on Recalbox so far, the less I tinker with it, the better it runs.

By the way, the roms are the recommended TOSEC GDI format converted to .chd, and as I said, were working fine on Pi3 + Reicast, so it's not that.
