I have the following problem. When setting 3dboxart as prefered cover art it get's downloaded when scraping for a single system. When I choose all 3dboxart gets scraped for gba but not for any other system. For all other console systems the 2dboxart gets downloaded. Can anyone confirm this?

@peterpan123123 do you always change the input of player 1 and 2 manually when playing tabletop games or is it possible to have 2x Play1 and 2x Player2?
Ah I just got it. One has to change the aspect ratio by hand :D. So not using "core provided" but 4:3 for example.

your table is just awesome! I'm really now thinking of also drilling some more holes and putting in two more sticks and a few buttons. Since I dont have your encoders I can't help you with the problem but maybe you have to do the same and just configure ONE Player of each encoder set?
Also how do you do the screen rotation? When I try to rotate the screen in the retroarch on screen menu it get's rotated but the aspect ratio is not changing.

Thank you Substring. I also have to mention that I had to do the following in order toget the XCSOURCE Arcade Button/Stick set (www.amazon.de/dp/B01LAUYMQ6) working properly.
fresh recalbox install
configure player 1 controls and set INPUT P1 to #0 TWIN USB GAMEPAD
ssh into recalbox
make the boot partition writeable with "mount -o remount, rw /boot"
open cmdline.txt with "nano /boot/cmdline.txt"
insert "usbhid.quirks=0x810:0xe001:0x040" at the end of the content of "cmdline.txt"
reboot the system
IMPORTANT! NOW DO NOT CONFIGURE THE PLAYER 2 CONTROLS just set INPUT P2 to #1 TWIN USB GAMEPAD and it will work and have the same configuration as Player 1 controls (if you would configure the player 2 controls the stick would be inverted in Mame games)

After I finished my SNES project (forum.recalbox.com/topic/6031/snes-mod-gpio-controller-start-stop-reset-und-led/9) I decided to make a similar table like presented on element14. But I didn't want to use the small LACK table and wanted a bigger screen. So I bought a 32" screen and the 117x88 LACK table. The project is almost finished. I will add an acrylic to protect the screen and the table surface, a power button and a power led. It was not very complicated and lots of fun.
Ich bin fertig. Es war teilweise ganz schön eng aber irgendwie habe ich alles hineinquetschen können. Ich habe noch den Composite Out vom Pi an den Multiout vom SNES gelötet damit er auch an einer Röhre laufen kann. Ebenfalls habe ich 4 Pins vom Cartridge Slot an ein USB Kabel gelötet um demnächst einen USB Stick in eine Cartridge zu stecken ;). Vielen Dank für eure Tipps.

Ich warte leider noch auf Kabel ohne die ich keine Passprobe für das Dremeln machen kann. Aber immerhin habe ich den Raspberry mit dem SNES PCB vermählt. 
Das war leichter als angenommen. Wenn man direkt das PCB mitnimmt und GPIO 14 als 3.3 Power nutzt läuft sogar die Original LED wie gewünscht. 
Morgen ist dann Dremelarbeit am Gehäuse angesagt und dann war es das schon fast. Ich werde noch einen netten Guide erstellen damit alle was davon haben.

Vielen Dank für eure Hinweise zum GameCon Treiber. Dadurch kann ich ja direkt auf das Controller PCB vom SNES gehen bzw. das Kabel vom Controller PCB direkt mitnutzen. Ich habe dazu folgende Skizze gefunden 
und werde am Wochenende mal löten. 
Anbei noch der "tote" SNES links und mein treuer, funktionierender Begleiter seit 1993.

ich plane einen defekten SNES mit einem Raspberry Pi 3 wiederzubeleben. Der SNES soll dabei in der Funktionsweise nahe am Original bleiben. Ich habe derzeit drei Varianten im Kopf
Shutdown, Reset und LED mit dem Mausberry Circuit lösen + Mayflash SNES2USB Adapter and die originalen Ports löten.

Ein Mix aus 1 und 2 indem Shutdown, Reset LED per GPIO und die Controller mit dem Mayflash Adapter angeschlossen werden.
Variante 2 ist mir natürlich am liebsten da es günstiger wird und basteliger. Jedoch hat der RPi3 nicht genügend GPIOs für zwei Controller + Shutdown etc. Ich habe jetzt gelesen, dass es möglich ist mit dem Chip MCP23017 nur zwei Pins pro Controller zu "verbraten". Es scheint aber, dass Recalbox den hotkeybtn branch vom mk_arcade_joystick_rpi Treiber nutzt (https://github.com/recalbox/mk_arcade_joystick_rpi/tree/master) in welchem diese Funktion zur Nutzung des Chips weggelassen wurde.
Hat jemand vielleicht schon ein ähnliches Projekt gemacht und versucht soviel wie möglich über die GPIOs zu lösen?
