I'm planning on upgrading to Pi5 from a 3B. I want to connect the Recalbox to my CRT via the RGB Dual. This works flawlessly with the Pi3 but needs additional hardware if I want the sound to come from the CRT speakers as mentioned on the website.
Is this still the case or has a Software solution been found?

Is the audio driver fully Pi5 compatible?

DOS games don't start
Hi, I'm trying to set up DOS games on Recalbox 9. I followed the guide in the Wiki but none of the games work. All I get is the same message "Executable files not found". Is the guide still up to date?

RE: Custom boot videos with RGB Dual
@Sesto2k So the feature worked properly with the last version? I never tried it with 8. Also, I'm using a Pi 3B+ but I don't think that makes a difference.

Custom boot videos with RGB Dual
Hi, I'm trying to customize the boot video. I'm using the RGB dual on the latest version. I followed the guide and changed the system.splash.select parameter to custom and system.splash.length to both 1 and 12 (the length of my video) but all I get is a black screen. I also copied the video file by drag and drop into the bootvideos folder and then with MobaXTerm with the same result.
Is there a specific resolution I need? Or do mp4 files not work?

RE: How to show Favorites for one system
@KoCinsKy I was also hoping for this feature to be introduced. I don't think it exists yet. Maybe in 9.1.?

Using the Recalbox via HDMI with the RGB Dual attached
Hi, I'm using the RGB Dual to connect my RPi3 with Recalbox to my CRT. I'd like to bring it over to a friend's house who doesn't have any TVs or monitors with Scart Connectors, only HDMI. I can't seem to use the Recalbox with HDMI as long as the RGB Dual is attached.
I even tried installing Recalbox to a different SD card but it still didn't work. Recalbox boots in 240p with a stretched image which can be corrected in the options. But booting a game always causes the TV to lose the signal. Can I somehow deactivate RGB Dual so the device only recognizes HDMI? -
Unibios does not open
Here is a weird issue I have:
Unibios is supposed to open by pressing C+A+B which corresponds to Y+B+A on non-Neogeo controllers. Wiki However, when I tried that, it didn't work. Through some testing, I found out that the buttons are actually mapped to left (C), up (A) and down (B) on the d-pad (which I obviously can't press at the same time).Strangely, the NG games work just fine, only the BIOS button combos are somehow swapped.
I already tried several controllers and doublechecked my button config in Emulationstation and Retroarch. Not sure what the issue is here. Any ideas?

RE: Assigning Hotkeys Does Not Work
@Scavy Okay, After sleeping over it I tried it again and the issue was my SNES to USB adapter. Everything works as intended now. I still need to get the iBuffalo pad to work but that's an issue for another time. Thanks for the help.

RE: Assigning Hotkeys Does Not Work
@Scavy I tried that and not only did that not work but now the SNES controller is not recognized by any game anymore, only by the Recalbox menu.
This is really frustrating. Is there a way to remove controllers from the configuration so I can reset everything? -
RE: Assigning Hotkeys Does Not Work
@Scavy Hi, yes that works but only with controllers that have a hotkey assigned which my original SNES controller connected via USB adapter does not have. That is the controller I am planning on using mostly since my iBuffalo SNES USB controller is not recognized. By the way I somehow messed the config up so the function is broken again.
I read somewhere that you can assign a dedicated button as a hotkey combo button but I did not quite get how it works. Do you have a guide for that? Like, if I set the button to select then select plus, for example, A lets me open the menu.

RE: Assigning Hotkeys Does Not Work
Apologies for the double post, I am unable to find the edit function.
I actually fixed the issue myself. I disabled the settings "Load core-specific settings" and "Load override data automatically" in the configuration settings. I then changed the button combo to the value I wanted before going to quick menu > overrides and then saved all three options. After that, I saved the global configurations manually in the options and when I closed and opened the game, everything was the way I set it to.What a complicated mess, but it seems to work now.

Assigning Hotkeys Does Not Work
Hi, I just set up my Recalbox and almost everything is working great so far.
Unfortunately, I am unable to assign hotkeys for opening the menu through the Retroarch menu. Strangely, I was able to assign one for closing the game but my choice for the menu hotkey does not save when I close and reopen a game. The function for the prompt before closing the game (the option above the ones I mentioned) does not save either and is always reset.
All other changes are applied correctly.
Is this a Retroarch specific issue? And is there a workaround, perhaps though the Retroarch config file?
I need it specifically for controllers that do not have a dedicated home button to access the menu normally, like a SNES controller connected via USB adapter.
