Here's a quick update: I tried installing Retropie and managed to get games like Tron and Star Trek to work. Woohoo! The only problem is that of course, Recalbox is nicer. It's easier to install, the attractor is nice, it's faster and it just flat-out works better.

So what's the difference? Why does Retropie work for these games but Recalbox not?

Hi @acris thanks for the reply. Forgive me, I'm a complete n00b. Where would I find those romsets, and I would I install them? And if these are recent, wouldn't they not already be included in the Recalbox setup?

I forgot to mention something. Games like Tron and Star Trek play well on the Windows version, just not on the Raspberry Pi 3 version.

(My setup: I'm running the latest (as nov Nov 19 2017) Recalbox on a Raspberry Pi 3).

I've managed to get some fun games like Joust, Defender, Stargate etc running well. But getting certain games like Tron, Star Trek : Strategic Operations Simulator, Star Wars has been a hair-pulling experience.

i am so lost when it comes to emulators. I've tried the included emulators in Recalbox such as Mame078, 1Mame4All, AdvanceMame, etc. When the games run, "Inserting coin" sometimes works, but after, no key whatsoever seems to do anything, and Keyboard mapping does nothing too. I read somewhere that there are other emulators available but can't find simple installation instructions.

So then: Is there anyone here who has managed to get games like ST:SOS, Tron, Star Wars etc, to run? I'm even willing to pay someone for their time if they can help me figure this out.

I just have to ask. Is there an emulator of TRS-80 Model 1/3's that will run games of those systems on a Raspberry Pi?

Thanks! The threads talk about other versions of Mame such as Mame2003 and Mame4all. Do you know where I can get this for the Raspberry Pi / RecallBox / Libretro?

Hi Everyone, Apologies if this is a n00b question but:

Certain games like Battlezone, Tron, Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator, Star wars, Space War, Lunar Lander, seem to load properly, but then cannot be played. They just sit their in demo mode.

I can't seem to "insert coin" on most of the games. On Star Trek I can hit right-shift to trigger the insert-coin event, but then can't start the game no matter what key I press. Same is true using an xTension controller.

Other games work perfectly. Joust, Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Defender, etc, all work.

I am running the latest version of Recallbox on a Raspberry Pi 3. LibRetro and AdvanceMame are also installed too. I've tried 2 different keyboards and the Xtension controller Emulator Edition. No luck, no fun!

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
