With the awesome work of the latest releases, and looking what's up for the future in the next milestones, I feel that what Recalbox really miss now is some kind of DOS support. DOSBox and rpix86 seems to be the options, the latter seeming very promising. I'm curious if there are technical reasons that make it not a viable milestone for the future. There are a lot of DOS games that I would be very happy to play with. It's very strange being able to play PSX games and not DOS games

RE: MAME crashing
@subs Well, I've done some scraping and I've played the games some times, that's all. It's interesting that, if I use core 0.78, it seems like everytime I run Smash TV, for example, the credits from the last game are still there, don't know why. I thought the games started new everytime.

MAME crashing
I'm on a Raspberry Pi3, Recalbox 4.0 beta5, using a Samsung SD 128GB EVO+.
I'm having trouble with same MAME roms that were running fine before (for example, Smash TV and Paperboy). Romset 0.78, verified. I can start the games, then after a few second they crash. This is the screen that I get:
The system gets stucked like this and there's no way to reset.
Everything else seems to run fine. I tried changing some configuration, but nothing works. Some advice? -
RE: Duplicated SNES games, not scraping, Gamelist.xml empty
I tried to delete and copy the roms again many times, but this doesn't seem to resolve the problem.

RE: Duplicated SNES games, not scraping, Gamelist.xml empty
I uploaded the roms directly with an SD card reader, without touching anything else. I opened the gamelist but haven't tried to modify it. Yes, now I can scape using gamesDB.

Duplicated SNES games, not scraping, Gamelist.xml empty
I'm having a problem setting up the SNES roms. When I load them, they appear as a duplicated list:
The games do work if I select them. The scraper doesn't recognize the roms. If i try to delete a duplicate, the game stop to work. The gamelist.xml in the SNES rom folders appears to be empty. The other system seems to work fine. I'm on Recalbox 4.0beta4, Raspberry pi3.

RE: Samsung EVO+ 128GB: not compatible?
Thank you, this was exactly the problem. I forgot everything must be on FAT32 to work on the Pi. I used the Disk utility on my Mac to format and now everything works fine.

Samsung EVO+ 128GB: not compatible?
I've installed Recalbox 4.0beta4 on a Samsung EVO+ 128GB sd card, after formatting it with sd card formatter. Nothing happened, the installing process doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong or is it the card simply not compatible?

RE: Coping roms directly to SD card
I just created a page on the Wiki that might be helpful. https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Copy-roms-from-a-Computer-to-the-SD-Card-using-an-USB-Stick-(or-External-Hard-Drive)
I tried this procedure, with no success. This was a very useful, plug-and-play and fast option, how come it's so hard now? Or perhaps I'm doing something wrong, can somebody help me?

RE: Coping roms directly to SD card
I'm on MacOS, and I already have the software to mount EXT4 partitions; I used to do this before without any problems. Now, when I add the roms in the share folder, nothing happens. I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Coping roms directly to SD card
I'm using Recalbox 4.0 beta3, and it seems that it's not possible anymore to simply copy the roms in the roms directory in the SD card using an SD card reader. Can someone confirm this?
