like @aerao I also get gamelist.xml.xml in the rom folders. Not sure if it happened automatically or after trying to scrap.

Odroid C2 no sound and freeze
Hello everyone!
I have installed the latest 18.07.13 Recalbox on my Odroid C2.
I am using an BT USB Dongle (Orico BTA-403 with CSR8510 A10 chipset) to use my PS3 controllers. The start is very different to my RPi 3B/3B+ recalboxes (made around christmas 2018).
See here:
https://youtu.be/AGsMYvacLukFirst there is a Recalbox logo, then only the sound of the video starts, then the video starts, get interrupted by logo-version.png, then the video continues and then the loading screen appears.
Sometimes I also have no sound after the start as soon as ES is loaded.
I can then go to sound settings and see that volume is set to 0% (instead if 100%).
If I turn this to a higher value, I also have to switch the input from "auto" to HDMI and back.
If I leave it at HDMI and restart I get freezes after it has restarted, no sound on ES and I want to switch it from HDMI back to auto.I already thought it might be a problem with the BT dongle, but setting audio to "hdmi" in the recalbox.conf doesnt work.
Also the steps descriped here:
https://forum.recalbox.com/topic/5423/no-sound-recalbox-with-new-ps4-controller/5
doesnt work anymore on 4.1.The recalbox.conf is still a big questionmark as there are options I can set but recalbox doesnt use them.
So if I place an own intro video and set system.splash.length=0
to system.splash.length=16 then NOTHING changes. For me it looks like there are several config settings spread around the system and sometimes it takes what the user changed in recalbox.conf and sometime it just overwrite it with settings stored on a different place.
I would be happy for any help.

fter more then one hour testing with the new image I unplugged the cable and the controller then connected (a bit strange... ). on RPi 3B with the last image everything worked flawless. So there is a new bug.
It's supposed to work like that, please at least read documentation
@voljega Maybe I lost my ability to read during christmas, but where exacly in the documentation is written, that you have to connect a PS3 controller +1h via cable to get a BT connection?
I said before that I tried it 20 times to connect...
That includes the documented pairing process with cable etc. like I did on my RPi 3B before.
Please just read a post entirely before you blame someone. -

RE: Testers wanted: major system upgrade (Pi3b+, KODI 17 and much more ...)
Tested in RPi 3B+ with roms and OS on microSD and PS3 controller.

PS3 Controller didnt work wireless at the first 20 tries, so I thought Its just not supported yet. After more then one hour testing with the new image I unplugged the cable and the controller then connected (a bit strange... ). on RPi 3B with the last image everything worked flawless. So there is a new bug.

Network always says "Not connected" either via wifi or ethernet cable. This caused me to bot beeing able to scrap the games. But it was connected to my network and accessable from the internet (tested the port on netplay). So there is a new bug.

Deleting the last game in a gamelist or the screenshotlist (by using select->edit meta data ->delete) will cause the system to freeze (this bug was also in the past images of recalbox).

I had a few restarts at the beginning where the box suddenly (in idle with no input) rebooted or freezed. This happened about 5-6 times. After this everything worked with not freeze or reboot EXCEPT one almost reporducable behaviour:
If I config my PS3 controller there is sometimes a sudden restart. This comes more likely if I hit the buttons fast.
Happened with 18.07.13 on RPi 3B and with this christmas image on RPi 3B+.
So far it works pretty stable and good.
I'm sure there will be more performance in the future because the games "only" run as fast as on RPi 3B. (RPi 3B clocked to 1350MHz and RPi 3B+ clocked to 1500MHz.... ).
Theoretically the RPi 3B+ should be a bit faster but its not. Thanks for the great work!

RE: Splash screen duration not working
Thanks!
This workaround did the job, but its a hardcoded solution so the bug still exists (system.splash.length has no impact).
At least this solution helped me out for my christmas present -
Splash screen duration not working
I took a mp4 video with a length of 16sec (video codec H264 - MPEG4 AVC 1080p 25fps, audo codec MPEG audio layer mpga stereo 48000Hz, 320kb/s) and replaced the standard recalboxintro.mp4.
The video was aborted after 8 sec when the main menue of recalbox was finished loading.
So I went to the recalbox.conf and set:
system.splash.length=17After that I restarted and the video still gets interrputed/stoped by the menue and the background music.
How can I make sure the intro get played until the end?
Thanks a lot!

Odroid C2 issues and improvement
Hello everyone,
first of all: I tested several RetroGaming stations and recalbox is the greatest "out of the box" feeling in my opinion.
Thanks for all the time and great work invested so far!I have tested the latest recalbox image for my Odroid C2 and it works good.
But I notice that the N64 emulator is a lot faster on my Raspberry Pi 3B. (sound stuttering at the C2 and game is a bit slower)
The heat is also a lot more on the Odroid C2 which is odd because the C2 is a lot faster and should run faster or cooler at the same speed.BUT: I also compared the video output side by side from the Odroid and the Raspberry.
The Odroid looks to be a much better resolution (aber 3-4 times better) but I cant find a way to reduce it.
Its much more important for me to have a smooth gameplay then "high resolution" (which is on these retro games a even not that important). If I go ingame and using the Liberto emulator I can use the Hotkey + B button combination to change the resolution, but I cant notice any difference after that (nor at the resolution neither at the game play speed).
Where can I change the video resolution?
Second issue I noticed:
I also tested Kodi which works a lot smoother compared to Raspberry and really great on th Odroid C2.
But I cant install the addon "Vu+/Enigma" as a PVR client.
After activating it at the System Options -> TV it automatically gets disabled and a message appears, that there is no PVR client enabled. (I also tested it on the Raspberry Pi 3B and it works there with no issues with the same settings).I appreciate any help and hint.
Thanks a lot and thanks for this great software!

RE: Testers wanted: major system upgrade (Pi3b+, KODI 17 and much more ...)
I just wanted to tell you that I tested the image on my Pi3B+ and it booted and the original PS3 sixaxis controller works.
I got a message that there is an update availble (249MB) which I did.
After that it rebootet and showed the same message - and I also did the update (again 249MB... maybe the first update was unsuccessfull or it were really 2 updates with the same size). After that update the Pi3B+ just boots with a black screen and does nothing.
Maybe someone else have the same issue.
