Combination GPIO & USB
-
@sigmatec no you can't, you can't combine two boards for one controller.
The best way is to fing a supported usb controller supportingvenough buttons (like some Xin-Mo 1-player)

@sigmatec said in Combination GPIO & USB:
No delay board
No delay, I dont know. Can it be a zero delay board (Dragonrise) ?
With zero delay you can connect up to 12 buttons without the 4 function keys also on board (turbo, autofire, clear, mode) -
@sigmatec I never said that.
-
@voljega Can I combinane a Xin-Mo 2 Player with GPIO?
-
@sigmatec if you say 3 player (2 on xinmo and one on gpio) yes, if you mean mixed buttons between xinmos and gpio, no
-
@voljega By the way if I'm using the mk_arcade_joystick_rpi I can't use the shutdown script that uses the pin 5 & 6.
Is possible to make that command executed by a button from the zero delay board? I know there's a combo to go to the shutdown menu but I would like a more direct approach without the combos (kids proof). -
@sigmatec
I dont know why people need a script to shutdown recalbox. There are minimum 3 other ways. First, if you push during ES select button, you arrive in the restart, shutdown menu.
If you have Recalbox Manager installed on a nearby PC, you can use for shutdown of system or just restart from ES.
Most games that hangs, can be leaved with hotkeys, in dosbox with Ctrl+F9.
If you really dont get out, there are 2 unused pinholes near the GPIO. With text "Run". If you solder pins/cable to a button, closing the button is reset.
I was never needing something else. -
@dragu I think with the reset button I can corrupt the sd card.

@sigmatec
Excuse, but the connection on the 2 RUN Pins is a Soft Reset Switch.
So not the same as you pull the plug. You can find sources on the web for this.
