What action should I take after Recalbox freezes?

I canceled the scraping process because it was taking too long and I needed to shutdown the Pi. When I canceled the process however, Recalbox completely froze. I couldn't do anything, but I didn't want to pull plug without a proper shutdown fearing it may corrupt the SD card. After 30 minutes nothing had happened, so I decided to just unplug it, and thankfully it didn't hurt the SD card. I would like know what the safest option would be if something like this were ever to happen again.

@tristanr you should connect in ssh on the pi and use either the command reboot or poweroff

@tristanr in such case, SSH to your recalbox and /etc/init.DS31emulationstation restart
