Help with ps one controller

Hi i have tried to connect a ps one controller to a raspberry pi 3 and the controls work almost fine, it look like the second controller has pressed the d pad up and left, i read this manual https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/gamecon_gpio_rpi and it say that a pull up resistor is needed, i dont know how to add the resistor in the circuit, would be great if somebody could help me with this issue, maybe a diagram would be helpfull, thanks for your time.

a single ps controller works just fine. But seems that 2 of them is troublesome
