PIA/openvpn on Kodi

Anyone get Openvpn working on the Kodi Side of recalbox? If so any pointers? I've tried some of the instructions on the Kodi forum, but none of them seem to work. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks much!

I would also like to know. My ISP throttles the crap out of me. I was able to get openvpn working with vpnmanager in OpenELEC but I cannot get it to work within RecalBox or even RetroPie.

Me too, seems like a huge over sight if kodi is included by default to not have a VPN client. I don't know build root systems or whatever it's called, but am going to try and research the possibility

VPN stuff must be some side binaries, which means it's prolly not embedded for now. No kodi plugin can help you ?

The current OpenVPN add-on with Vpn Manager doesn't work. OpenVPN6.0 doesn't execute.

I had this issue with my custom build (kodi on top of raspian)
I had to install openvpn on raspian:
Apt-get install openvpn.
Then install openvpn from one of the main repositries available in Kodi. Add settings and voila.
Issues:
Keyboard is fine untill I want to go back in console to start something else up i.e. moonlight.
Controller dont work at all. I have to remove openvpn from rasbian everytime I want to play games.
