Hi all, I'm, having problems configuring my new N64 USB controller (DragonRise Inc. Generic USB Joystick). It's not possible to set it up properly via the recalbox menu so I'm trying to do it in the configs.   I tried to follow the Wiki under: https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Configure-N64-controllers-(EN) But it seems very outdated for the current system.   Could one please explain where I should make my entries - which configs and where I can find them?   Thanks in advance

I had a bug with this controller on 3.3 and had to remove all controllers after [DragonRise Inc. Generic USB Joystick] section on /mupen64plus/InputAutoCfg.ini file. But with 4.0 and automatic configuration, you can't do this trick anymore I guess. You should open an issue about it and I'll write all I did on 3.3 to help developers and fix your problem 😉

I tried to configure it on 4.0, and axis and D-pad are same keys, and we can't configure a HOTKEY, I opened an issue about it.

Thanks, so what you are saying is that I can only configure my controller in the Emulationstation Menu? I am also missing options to configure the four yellow buttons in the upper right of my N64 controller.   Can't wait to use this thing for playing Goldeneye 🙂

I think it works like that : every time you launch N64 emulator (mupen64plus), a script create or update InputAutoCFG.ini file with EmulationStation controller settings, so editing it manually is useless. More people could helped you on IRC.
