Questions about psx emulation
-
some other games came in folders with one filename_(Track 01).bin.ecm and some more filename_(Track 02).ape, etc.
bin.ecm must be decompress with ecm tools *.ape must be decompress to wav with monkey audio. Look this video : https://youtu.be/SFjOdiRAzEk to make bin+cue : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Convertir-iso-track-wav-bin-en-bin-cue-(FR)

Look on xxxxxx (sorry for the name but it's mandatory there) for the tool UnpakkISO it will take charge of everything regarding .ape files for you. If you need help and/or this message is censored contact me in my mp box Edit Modo : No website with roms, thanks

Thanks for all the replies, it helped a lot. I converted all the files into .bin and added the .cue files. It seems to work now. Next step is to store the ROMs/ISOs on my NAS and play them directly form there, because my Raspberry Pi 3's SD Card doesn't have enough storage. Maybe someone has a good tutorial for that? I googled around and wasn't lucky to find a good working tutorial. Thanks again. :3

I think loading rom through network from roms of that size will not work very good

I use the .pbp (or eboots for a PSP) files for PSX emulation. Search for PSX PBP and then rename the eboot.pbp to whatever your game is called. No need to mess with .cue, .mp3, etc...

Thanks for the alternative way, but I already converted everything with the method above. I just have one more question: I have all the .bin and the .cue in a seperate folder in .../roms/psx so it looks like this http://i.imgur.com/CpD2oTW.png And then I launch the .cue in Recalbox. Would it also be possible to merge all those files into one .bin? It would look much better visually instead of having 3 files listed for one single game in Recalbox.

Use daemons tools, imgburn to make only bin+cue https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Convertir-iso-track-wav-bin-en-bin-cue-(FR)

Thanks, I will give it a try.

I can't get the eboots to drop into the folder. The system won't accept them. Any advice?
