      Hi,

Has anyone installed recalbox x86 version (64 bit) on a laptop and successfully had the n64 emulator working? I tried to install on an old Toshiba satellite pro A200. I can hear the audio, but the video is just blank. It seems there are limited options on the x86 version to change video modes, but have a feeling that's not the issue. Any help would be most appreciated. The laptop is for my son as his first portable computer so as a surprise I wanted to install recalbox, as we love playing the n64 titles on the raspberry pi that I have (even though some run a bit slow!)

      Cheers

        I have successfully done so.

However, I'm a little confused on what you are doing. Are you installing a 64bit on a x86 system? Because that won't work.

Also, you have you checked this page? https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/PC-compatibility-(EN)

Do you have the required bioses in the proper folder? You can check the web GUI by going to the system's IP address on another system and seeing if you have the right bioses for N64 (I don't know what they are off the top of my head)

          Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. There is an image called x86_64. This is the one I used as the CPU on the laptop is 64bit. However, it's not a very powerful one, just Intel Celeron single core - the laptop has 2Gb of ram. It may be that it is simply incompatible (it's not on the compatibility list though that's far from comprehensive), or that the laptop isnt powerful enough. At least I know it does work on some laptops - what spec is yours?

          Cheers
