Alsamixer muting HDMI after rebootboot

Hi,

I am using Recalbox DragonBlaze x86-64 with an Alienware Alpha ASM100-1580. It has a i3-4130T and an NVIDIA Maxwell GPU. I got Recalbox boot, but I can get sound through the HDMI to work without manual intervention. When I select the HDMI in the Recalbox sound menu and SSH to Alsamixer to unmute the S/PDIF connection (the Alienware Alpha has an optical audio out which I disabled in the BIOS). I can get it to output sound via HDMI, but when I reboot the system it reverts back to it being muted and I have to un-mute it manually again. I've tried a few different techniques I found on this forum and others, but nothing seems to make the sound settings save after reboot. It almost seems to be a bug. Any assistance is appreciated.

I am having a similar issue. I am currently dealing with other issues, and hope to write a script to correct this issue as a kludge, but it would be nice if someone could help determine why it is happening in general.
