Tontec 3.5 inch screen setup

Hi, first off thank you for all the hard work on recalbox it is amazing. I have a clear acrylic case with a tontec 3.5 touch screen that would be awesome to be able to use. I can then give the pi2 to my son with some headphones and he can not take up the TV.   The guide that came with the screen has instructions for setting up on raspian wheezy, do you think those same instructions can be used? has anyone else setup a tontec touchscreen? if so please help.   Thanks!
