Unsolved MAME Makes noise instead of proper sound, also Controllers don't work correctly

Hi, i just added some games to MAME on the game station i built with recalbox. The games open fine, they look visually fine, but the controllers don't function and regardless which game i open, my speaker immediately starts putting out a horrible sort of i guess you could say white noise. Any help would be appreciated.

@spyhunter10 Do a clean install of the latest version of Recalbox and try again:

Did redoing the installation solve the problem? If not, what hardware are you using? Are you using the correct BIOS? Is ROMSET correct? Have you tried changing the emulator / emulation core?
