Cannot get Icefilms working in Kodi 15.2

I note a similar problem posted previously re Kodi 3.2.8. I'm setting up a fresh install on a Raspberry Pi B+, and can't figure out how to get Icefilms working. I've installed OSMC (21.10.15) with Kodi 15.2. I've configured a VPN to connect to US/Netherlands, which works perfectly. Installed Icefilms (1.16.0) in Kodi via zip file. Changed the URL to https://ipv6.icefilms.info/ in addon settings. When I try to search for movies I get the dreaded..

Maybe you should ask on osmc forums

And for info as it was explianed in the other post, the lack of ssl support caused the issue. I don't think osmc has the same problem, so it must be something else.
