TankStick & TurboTwist2
I am new here so please excuse my ignorance, should I be asking an already answered question. I recently built a Recalbox cabinet that is working very well (thank you developers)! I'm using a new tank stick, where I have added a TurboTwist 2 to the top of the panel, to play games such as Arkanoid, etc., on MAME. I have connected the controller to the IC board, then ran the USB cable to the Raspberry Pi. The Pi sees the controller, as I can see movement using the command: cat /dev/input/mouse0 and "twisting" the controller.
My problem is, I don't know how to get EmulationStation to recognize the controller in setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@mschwarz344 you bought something illegal, it is clearly illegal to sold Recalbox.
And as it is impossible to know how and how much the thief who sold you recalbox modified the original image and what he may have broken, there is absolutely no support here for that unofficial image.
Please install an official image if you want support
@mschwarz344 mices are not supported in ES
@voljega Let me clarify. I purchased the following and put all components together along with the most recent (3/16/18) Recalbox software:
- Raspberry Pi 3
- Tank Stick
- Cabinet kit from RecRoomMasters.com
- 32gb micro SD card
- Coin door
- etc., etc.
As you can see, I put together a game machine using Recalbox, as everyone else on these forums have. I did NOT purchase a preconfigured/preassembled system as your post assumes. The Tankstick (with track ball) works just fine, but I've added a TurboTwist2 to the Tankstick assembly. The trackball works as a mouse would, so I assume I can use the TurboTwist2 in it's place as needed or as an additional controller.
Looking for advise please.
@mschwarz344 sorry I must have misread your initial post
Looking for advise please.
Have you read my answer at least ?
@substring I have read your answer, and thank you. I wonder though, how does the trackball work in the tankstick if mice are not supported?
Thanks again for your time,
@mschwarz344 i said in ES, not in emulators ;)
I'm still looking for a solution (some help) on this please. I suspect it has to do with the mame2003 configuration file. The output of dev is below, and the output is below (with mouse0 being the TurboTwist2):
