Solved Mame games do not load

I just spent quite a long time setting this up. I went through my entire Mame folder, selected favorites and tested each rom to ensure it worked and was the version I wanted. Then I updated. Now every Mame room that was working just fine a couple days ago goes to load screen then right back to the games list. Between scraping and setup this is suddenly several weeks of wasted work. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or what's wrong? I'm desperate here.

Ok, sorry for my frustration. I figured it out. I needed to change the mame advanced emulator configuration from Auto to Mame 78 and now it all works again.

advance mame required a different romset.
You need mame 0.106 romset for advance Mame
