Hi. I use the Kodi installed in the recallbox to record TV programs. Usually, Kodi is able to record it in a NTFS pendrive. But in the case of the recallbox, the NTFS pendrive is write-protected, so I can't record anything in it. How can I disable the writing protection of the pendrive in the recalbox? Thank you very much.

Hi, the recalbox include the driver to acces to the ntfs partitions (ntfs-3g), so I think your problem come from your /etc/fstab. You can check with the command mount in SSH if your partition is mounted in ro (read-only) or rw (read-write). You can also look this tuto.

Thank you very much. I am completely newbie, and I never used ssh. I'll try and keep you informed.

I have tried everything. In mount it shows the unit mounted as ro   I have tried to modify etc/fstab adding a line for ntfs: /dev/sda1  /media/usb0   ntfs  defaults,rw 0,0 It doesn't work. If I put ntfs-3g neither it worked. So, I don't know what else can I do...

The problem in FAT32 is that the maximum size of the file is 2 gb. I use an addon for recording movies, and 2 Gb is not enough... Kodi in OPENELEC records in NTFS, so it is possible, but I wanted it in only one microsd with the recalbox...

And if you force the mount with the command ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /media/usb0 Found in a french topic here : http://blog.recalbox.com/forums/topic/probleme-kodi/#post-3550
