@voljega cheers for the advice, WinSCP bombs out for mesometimes when I’m moving files about over WiFi, I find that with the SD card in my PC, I can transfer files quicker with no dropouts, I take on board your USB point for ROM storage

Managed to figure out WinSCP and deleted some roms and added some new stuff. More a case of taking a gamble and not really knowing what I was doing but it seems to have worked. Need to sort artwork guessing via scraping system so will give that a go but the actual games work which is the main thing. 30+ years ago used to write games on zx spectrum or rather retype them out of magazines, and typed out pages of code to play Stranglers Golden Brown on a BBC computer at school in the 80s but those days are long gone haha
