rpi3 wifi problem
-
@asan-nased Hi,
You can't use ifup/ifdown, we use connman to manage wifi.
Anyway please check that:
- your SSID is not hidden
- your wifi channel is < 11
-
thanks, SSID is not hidden, channel was 13, i changed it to 9 and restarted router and rpi, but it does not help, wifi does not connect
-
@asan-nased ok can you temporary connect an ethernet cable to the rpi ? Then connect to its IP with a web browser, go the support section, launch the support script, and paste the link here.

@asan-nased all seems to be ok.
Any special character in your wifi password ? (no need to write it here)
-
no, only numbers
-
@asan-nased I don't know... No mac filter on your box ?
-
There are no filters. I do not see any attempts to establish connection at the router log files. I tested wifi with 2016-05-27-raspbian-jessie.img and it works, than i rewrited recalbox.img at SD card and configured wifi again and i still have this problem.

I do not understand why RX packets at WLAN0 interface dropped
ifconfig wlan0|grep RX
RX packets:143 errors:0 dropped:143 overruns:0 frame:0 RX bytes:66349 (64.7 KiB) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)

I have failed to connect to a Wifi with the SSID "GVT-25F0" but then succeded when routing from my phone (SSID: Cheese). If I were to guess, the issue is the "-".
Dont know if that helps but I think special characters are a problem on the name aswell.
Maybe try renaming the network? -
I installed a new test router with OpenWrt, created SSID ABCAAA with kea AAAAAAAA and the rpi is still not connect to wifi, RX packets still drop.
-
When i try to start wifi via recalbox-config.sh script i get this error
pwd
/recalbox/scripts
./recalbox-config.sh wifi disable
Disabled wifi
./recalbox-config.sh wifi enable ABCAAA AAAAAAAA
Enabled wifi
Error /net/connman/technology/wifi: No carrier -
@asan-nased you can't be connected to ethernet and wifi at the same time. Unplug your ethernet cable first.
-
Thanks, all is working now, i think the problem was in 11 channel on the router and then connected ethernet
