Overclocking and N64 games... How?
-
Hi, I'm trying to overclock my raspi3 to make the N64 games run smoother... Just added these lines to /boot/config.txt...
arm_freq=1350
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=500
over_voltage=4
avoid_warnings=2but nothing seems changed... What's the exact procedure for overclocking? What the lines? I have already browsed the forum, but couldn't find a real tutorial... Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hello, your overclock seems to be ok.
But N64 is a system hard to emulate, even if you overclock your RPI don't expect a miracle.
If you have a second sd card, you can test a 4.1 unstable, rpi3 overclock and a new n64 emulator (glupen64 libretro core) have been added.
We'll b*mp mupen emulator + plugins the next days too. -
Ciao, I added these lines to boot/config.txt:
hashOverclock
arm_freq=1350
over_voltage=4
sdram_freq=575
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020
over_voltage_sdram_p=6
over_voltage_sdram_i=4
over_voltage_sdram_c=4
core_freq=500
v3d_freq=500
h264_freq=333
gpu_mem=256deleting...
gpu_mem_256=128
gpu_mem_512=256
gpu_mem_1024=512I didn't notice any significant change in N64 games... Anyway, while video scrolling is acceptable, the main problem the with the emulator are constant hiccups in sound...
At the moment I'm using a custom version of Recalbox provided by RGB-Pi inventor... I'd like to try the 4.1 unstable version...Where can i get it?
Thanks. ^^^^
