How do you install alternative cores?

Hello, I'm curious how you install alternative cores?

Specifically I want to install the nestopia core for NES.

I'm not sure how you enable the choice of multiple cores in the menu but I went into the config and changed the core to nestopia and that did the trick.

it's not possible , you need to compile your own recalbox.

This core is already available in recalbox.

You need to go :
Emulationstation Menu > game options > choose your default core.
Or
Select your game
select button
edit metadata game
choose emulator : libretro
choose core : try a different.
