Reccomended external devices for ROM storage

Hi everyone. I'm building a emulation machine for my friend using Recalbox and a RPi3.

Setting it up has been pretty straight forward and now I'm trying work out how I'm going to store he roms. I want to use an external device as it could be up to 100GB of roms (mostly from mame and PSX) I wanted to get some recommendations of what's best to use (Flash Drive? external harddrive?) and also what brand. Also will there be issues if I use a larger sized Flash drive like a 128GB.

Any help would be appreciated as I want to select the right one before I buy anything.
