N64 roms not loading with PI 3 and f310 usb controller

Hello, I have a raspberry Pi 3 running Recalbox 4.0.0-beta2. I initially set this up using just a usb keyboard. I can open n64 roms without any problems when the keyboard is plugged in. However when I have the Logitech F310 usb controller plugged in the n64 roms do not load. It goes to a black screen and then takes me back to the list of games. Can someone please tell me how to fix this? Thank you Peter

N64 automatically swtiches to DMT 9 = 800x600). Does your monitor support it ? Have you mapped pageup and pagedown on your pad ?
