Amiga on PC - how to change discs?

Is there a way to play Amiga games with more than one disc on the RCB-PC-Version? Sorry I am quite new to recalbox. It runs smooth with other Systems, but the Amiga thing is a bit difficult for me. When I start a game and the game asks eg for Disc 2, is there a way to do that? If I go to the retroarch menu with the hot button ("disk control") I can insert a new disk ("disk image append") but then nothing happens, loading of the game does not continue.
any idea if I am doing something wrong - or is it not possible on Recalbox for PC? Thank you!
