Arch Linux Desktop

I would really like to have the ability to use RecalBox and a Linux desktop environment. At first I thought maybe I could add another OS to NOOBs and then have a choice at start-up, but this didn't work. I then thought about Berryboot, but I'm struggling to work out how to convert to squashfs correctly. I would prefer to use Arch Linux so my last thought was to install a desktop environment with the intention of being able to quit Recalbox and boot to the desktop from command line. Is there a way to get a desktop environment alongside Recalbox? Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi, never a window manager will be integrated to recalbox. You must understand that i want to make a video game console from the rpi, not a second raspian + retorpie. But you can try to dual boot recalboxOS with raspbian, by copying recalboxOS noobs files (in "os/recalboxOS") in a noob "os" directory.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't want a window manager incorporated into the Recalbox just wanted to know if there was a way I could add one manually. It was more so I could learn about Recalbox and see if I can add my own features to it. I will see if I can get a dual boot to work and go from there.

A window manager would be very useful for me, I am a software developer and I created a simple snake game with Java Swing and I would like to run it on my Recalbox, apparently, I will have several hours of work having to install Raspbian and manually configure EmulationStation to call my game in java
