Super Nintendo and NeoGeo

Hi
I cant get this 2 systems to run. I have Recalbox 6.1.1 on Intel 5 PC.
On both i only get a black screen and then returns to the games menu.
For Super Nintendo, do i need a bios?
For Neogeo of course i have the neogeo.zip in the NeoGeo roms folder.
I have tried several complete rom sets which are 100% confirmed to work.
Can anyone help or are these 2 systems not compatible with PC?
Thanks guys and have a great day.

For Super Nintendo, do i need a bios?No bios required for SNES system. Check your roms and the format (have a look in the snes folder to see the authorized extensions.
For Neogeo of course i have the neogeo.zip in the NeoGeo roms folder.
Check its md5 signature : https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/Easy-Arcade-on-Recalbox-(EN)

0.78 romset version.
Using a 17 years old version of MAME for neogeo emulation on an i5, while FBNeo is unarguably the best neogeo emulator available, even against current MAME, doesn't sound right.

I think default neogeo emulator on RecalBox is FBNeo (i'm not 100% sure though), the only way to get a black screen with neogeo on FBNeo is to use the wrong
neogeo.zip
romset (if you are using another emulator, you are on your own, i only know about the emulators i develop).
The fact you get a black screen even on snes seems weird though, so your issue might be totally unrelated to the emulators and their romsets, other consoles are working right or you only tried those 2 ? -
Hi guys!
Until now i have about 40 running systems on my i5 and i have a lot od pleasure with it
I have tested some more stuff and here are my results!
On my i5 i am using the 64bit version of Recalbox 6.1.1
Now i have installed the 32bit version of Recalbox 6.1.1 on my 13 years old Pentium 3 PC and surprise! all NeoGeo and Super Nintendo Roms are working !!!
So there must be a bug in the 64bit version.
Also i ve tried to run the NeoGeo roms on my i5 64bit version from the FBA folder and they also working now !!
So hopefully these problems can be fixed soon.
Thanks again for your support!

FBA is actually FBNeo (we changed name last year but many retrogaming distros stick with the old folder name), if it wasn't working when you stored the romsets in the neogeo folder, then my guess would be that FBNeo isn't your emulator for that folder ? Maybe check which emulator is used for that folder ?

@barbudreadmon
I just checked and the emulator (Core) for NeoGeo folder is FBNEOAlso the Emulator for the fba_libretro folder is FBNEO (roms are working from that folder)
So i have no idea why the roms dont start from the NeoGeo folder with the 64 bit version of Recalbox 6.1.1
And for Super Nintendo i checked also, its the SNES9X2010 Core, roms are only working with the 32 bit version of Recalbox 6.1.1

@jaroshki Ok, sounds like a weird RB bug then... sorry idk much about RB itself.
