Favorites Menu Missing on Clean Install of 6.1.1

I recently did a clean install of recalbox 6.1.1 on my raspberry pi 3b and for some reason the favorites menu is completely missing as shown in the attached screenshot. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?

lol Yes, add a game to favorites and the Menu will be shown

I think that you can also use an old installation to restore your favorites games

@abunille @jc I've added multiple favorites from multiple systems and the favorites menu is still missing. I've also power cycled my pie.
