https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Config/ResolutionI may be wrong, but from what I understand the problem is with "xorg.conf" (or its absence).
If so, these links will help:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_xorg.conf
https://askubuntu.com/questions/217758/how-to-make-an-xorg-conf-fileRead the information for all the links, and test the suggestions (make a backup of your image before, by security).
I do not have this problem, and I'm not a programmer, so I do not know the exact answer to your problem. So it is best that you test the options we are showing you, and give us feedback (positive or negative). -
I have checked on other laptop same error coming.
Cant open display
Please helppp. -
@usman_tahir880 Did you read the links I posted ?? Have you tried the commands that the links suggest ??
-
@Zing Yes i have read but no luck
-
@usman_tahir880 Say everything you tried and what the result of each command, otherwise it is impossible to help you without knowing what happens. For example: What is the result of the "Xorg: 1 -configure" command? Have you tried this command already?
-
@Zing i run this command.
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --listmonitors
Here is the output.
Monitors: 2
0: +eDP1 1366/310x768/170+0+0 eDP1
1: +HDMI1 1920/1600x1080/900+0+0 HDMI1 -
I edit this file .xinitrc and enter this line
xrandr --output eDP1 --off
Now ES MENU IS ON FULL SCREEN BUT GAME IS NOT WORKING. -
@gnubit Any idea?
