Made some progress. The dualshock 4 pairs and now works when scanning. For some reason the dualshock 3 is being the problem child.

I've searched the forum, searched reddit and google. I am using an Odroid Xu4

as of 4.1, the Asus BT-400 is supported as a Bluetooth dongle. The compatibility list shows that it needed modification to work as of a few versions ago.(3.x) Yet the changelog stats it should have support. Has anyone attempted to set this up and succeded? i managed to get it to work for a short time and after a reboot it would no longer pair.

I've tried bluetoothctl and it only shows the address not PLAYSTATION title.
Ive tried another dongle https://www.insigniaproducts.com/pdp/NS-PCY5BMA/5655065 this one also has support.
