I do/did have xboxdrv driver activated. I've never had to configure the 360 controller. It's just works out of the box for me. I'm just not satisfied with Kodi defaults. <span style="line-height: 1.5;">What files would i have to copy from beta 1 to the latest Kodi version, if i wanted to keep the old Kodi defaults? Or is it not as simple as copying files?</span>

Kodi 360 Controller defaults 4.0.0 beta 3
First of all thanks for the great OS. I'm a bit different than most, I believe, in that I mainly used this distro for Kodi. I know there are other distros/OS's that specialize in Kodi, but this one just seems to work best with a wireless 360 controller. I've been using Kodi since I modded an original xbox, so a controller seems like the right way to use kodi for me. Now for my issue. So I upgraded from 4.0.0 beta 1 to 4.0.0 beta 3 and I noticed the default Kodi controls for the 360 controller have changed. I felt like in beta 1 you had it almost perfect and now things seem all wrong. The right analog stick used to control volume now it acts as a d pad. Also the buttons are all mixed up while video is playing. Is this a bug, or is this the planned setup? Is there a reason for not making defaults as close to what Kodi uses?http://kodi.wiki/view/Xbox_360_Wireless_Controller I've had trouble customizing the controls, so for now I'll go back to beta 1.

RE: Kodi Joystick Configuration
Thanks, I'm trying to edit that file, but it states that it's read-only. Anything I can do to make this file writable?

Kodi Joystick Configuration
It appears the location for the Kodi joystick configuration file has moved from where the wiki says it should be. Anyone know where I can find it?

RE: Customizing 360 Wireless Control in Kodi
After some searching I figured out that I can customize the controls in Kodi by modifying "/recalbox/configs/kodi/input.xml". This is a good start, but this only configures "global" controls. With Kodi you can customize the controls to be dependent on what's going on on the screen. For example the A button would do something different if a full screen video was playing as opposed to navigating a menu. Anyone have any tips or advice how to do this?

Customizing 360 Wireless Control in Kodi
Hello, I've enabled xboxdrv in the recalbox.conf to get my 360 wireless controller to work in Kodi, but now I'd like to customize it. I've customized controls before in Kodi using Keymaps.xml's or more recently using the Addon "Keymap Editor" but I'm struggling getting anything to work. I feel like I have to edit some xboxdrv config file somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
