Hey folks, so i know this is probably posted somewhere in the forums, but i havnt found it.
Like i have said before on some of my other posts, im new to this whole programming thing. im sure a lot of you will get a couple laughs out of this, i just hope you guys can help me out.
I havnt had much time to work on the Raspberry Pi lately and i saw that Recalbox had a couple new updates. i rushed to download the latest update and then proceeded to burn the new update image to my thumb drive, the one that had all my existing data on it from the previous version of Recalbox. so to my surprise when i started up my Pi, the Chistmas theme still came up, but now i have no games whatsoever (other than the preloaded ones that are on the program). i dont know what i did or did not do, but i do know i screwed it up.
could someone on here help me out with a step-by-step how to do a proper update to recalbox and maybe tell me if there is any way to possibly get my old game data back. i have it all on my desktop at home, but i would still have to do an image scrape to the games again. ahhhhhhhgggggg.
anyways, yeah safe to say i think i screwed up. any help would be greatly appriciated
thanks to you all,
Hey all, i had a ? about PC game roms. does anyone know if there is a way to run some of the older learning games from back in the late 90's-early 2000's on the system and where i might be able to find them. im talking about games like Timon and Pumba's jungle games, Putt Putt, Freddie Fish etc..... i want to show my kids the kind of computer games that i used to love to play when i was younger. and some of those were a great learning tool. I dont know what you would put them under as far as a rom folder goes, or how you would have to control them, but i would sure love to figure it all out. if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Hey all, just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. i just purchased my first Raspberry Pi device and i am eating up all the info i can find on how to make this thing awesome (even though it is pretty awesome out of the box). i wanted to say thx to you guys for your Tuto topics you have posted here, they have helped me out a ton.
I began looking for a emulation station after my original xbox finally kicked the bucket. i turned to the web where i found a system called a Game Box Hero, 16 systems in one for $150. however, it looked like it had little support and wasnt able to find much about it. So i began looking more and then i ran into you guys here at Recalbox. my first impression was, wow, where do i sigh up and how much is it, but then i found the raspberry Pi 3 kit and was eager to get started. so far, with all your help ive managed to get the Pi set up with a handfull of systems, a couple really cool themes, and after some troubleshooting, finally figured out the screenscarper. this thing is turning out to be very cool. (But i wish i would have seen the Odroid xu4 before i bought the Pi).
Anywhere, thanks to you guys for all the help. i had a ? im sure its listed somewhere in the tuto's, but i must have missed it.
thats all i have for now,
thanks again
