Hello, I think that there is a problem with sharedevice (sharedevice=NETWORK
sharenetwork_smb1=SHARE@IP:recalbox_test1:user=myuser,password=mypass)
I use this smb share for emulation part.
All the /recalbox/share of my rpi3 is mounted to my powerfull samba server through gigabit ethernet on the same subnet . All emulation's game is ok !
But kodi does not run and freeze before kodi logo.
What I try:
I try to create another empty share from a windows 10 computer, configure recalbox-boot.conf. I can see that share folder is successfully mounted in console. And I see that recalbox create all his folders (roms, saves, system...). Rom subfolders are empty it's normal 
But same problem, kodi freeze at boot.
Share on sdcard (without smb mount) launch kodi without problem. The problem is only with any smb share
Try it, mount an empty smb share, configure it into recalbox-boot.conf. And try to start kodi.
