RE: V3.3.0 beta testers needed – besoin de beta testeurs
Sorry aaron I didn't brought mine online so I don't have any reliable link to post. beware that buying this thing is a little bit tricky because fake/third-party mocks up are everywhere. make sure you get an authentic/genuine one as compatibility does matters.

RE: V3.3.0 beta testers needed – besoin de beta testeurs
Just got my hand on a 8bitdo Zero controller and I am happy to say that it works great on Recalbox. But unlike its big brothers, this is a Bluetooth-only device, it will never work as a USB wired gamepad, also there is no firmware update available. For bluetooth pairing, make sure you press START + R to switch it on in Windows Joystick mode. Compatibility chart updated here: https://github.com/digitalLumberjack/recalbox-os/wiki/8bitdo-on-recalbox-(EN) Thanks and lets keep things going everybody ;-D

Hi aaron, you have a wireless gamepad and you will need a "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows" for it to connect. The cable you are using is only for battery charging. It has no data connection to the USB port.

+1 on Eric's suggestion. The following lines should be added to the default recalbox.conf due to startup problems or performance issues. virtualboy.rewind=0 sega32x.rewind=0 segacd.rewind=0 psx.rewind=0 fbalibretro.rewind=0 vectrex.rewind=0

Thanks rockaddicted, /etc/init.d/S31emulationstation stop, ssh transfer, then reboot worked perfectly

RE: V3.3.0 beta testers needed – besoin de beta testeurs
I am using the PC scraper.exe to prepare covers and gamelist.xml, and then ssh it to the usual /.emulationstation/gamelists location. All system works fine, but except "fbalibretro" and "neogeo" Every time I restart the recalbox, it automatically reset my gamelist.xml file back to 1KB.... very strange... I suspect there is some bug in the startup process that mess it up, any ideas?

Warning: These guys is trying to sell recalbox at $150

Pi 1 does not support N64 if I remember correctly...

RE: Make Kodi go away?
Short answer: Because Windows Notepad failed to handle Linux text file properly, blame Micro$oft. Long answer: Read it here http://kb.ucla.edu/articles/opening-a-unix-text-file-on-windows

RE: [Tuto]Use Neogeo Unibios in PiFBA
One small problem I still cannot resolve is that the Region/MVS mode setting won't save, so I have to manually set it up each time I startup any games. If anyone know how to overcome this please let me know, thanks

[Tuto]Use Neogeo Unibios in PiFBA
I spend quite some time to figure out how this works, so I write it down here in case somebody else needs it. What Unibios does: - Change region (Europe/USA/Japan) and Mode: (AES/MVS) - Access the soft dip to change game Difficulty/Life/Time etc - In-game Cheat database - Jukebox music player... and a lot more! How to use it in PiFBA/Recalbox: Get it here (version 3.1): http://unibios.free.fr/download.html Extract the downloaded file, rename uni-bios.rom to asia-s3.rom. Open your own neogeo.zip, there should be a asia-s3.rom file inside, back it up if needed. Put the new renamed asia-s3.rom into neogeo.zip, replace it with the old one. Now upload the new neogeo.zip back to the Recalbox share folders, on both\bios and \finalburnalpha Usage: Start up any neogeo game, you will see the new UNIVERSE BIOS v3.1 splash screen. During this startup screen, press and hold BXY for region/mode setup, or hold ABX for dip switch menu. To access the in-game menu, press and hold BXY+START at the same time. SNK forever!

RE: (Resolved) Problem with resolution monitor
Hi, you need to remove the semi-colon ";" in order for that line to take effect. ;enable_something <- result= not enabled enable_something <- now this will work

RE: My setup and perhaps some inspiration for new Recalbox functionality
This is interesting. I wish we can have this HDMI-CEC feature integrated onto Emulation Station's GUI in the future version of Recalbox.

RE: New theme! (Work in progress)
Thanks for sharing of your theme, it looks nice and working smoothly however something doesn't look right to me, so here are some of my thoughts, -FBA cannot run SF3, only FBA-libertro does. maybe its better to switch that to SF2 or D&D? -The MSX background you used is Gradius V, which is a PS2 game. -Virtual Box image is missing. -For FDS, I personally don't think the current background can define the system, when I see it I can only think of N64 mainly because of the super mario logo. I suggest to use another games like "Yume koujou doki doki panic", "Palutena no kagami", "Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa" or just "Metroid". Also, I found some video about the official SEGA themes for the 3DS, I heard that you are looking for music for the SG-1000 so maybe you or other theme developers can take this as a reference? ( Yes.. I am using this emulator if you wonder ) SG-1000 Mark III Master System Game Gear Mega Drive Sega Saturn Dreamcast Game Center Space Harrier Fantasy Zone Please keep up the good work!

RE: Why i cant run IGS game ???
Hi there. I have already used clrmamepro and the supplied dat file to verified my set of ROMs and BIOS, and it also doesn't work on my Pi. So the problem is either going to be 1) The way RecalBox handle the ROMs/BIOS, or 2) The emulator's IGS driver itself. The good old news is another libretro mame core will be added into next version of RecalBox, so lets wait and see if this could fix the problem.

RE: Scraping with PC - Batch process for you to try!
Hi, just managed to get my Raspberry Pi 2 a few days ago, I spend my holiday to rebuild everything from zero, so I come back to share my results. This time, I got around 15000 ROMs on my SDCard, all ran through the scrapev2-deluxe.bat you supplied, done in a few hours without much problems. I must say that the scrapping speed and overall quality is very good, and I am very happy with what I get at this moment. However I still have a few questions and see if you can help: 1. I noticed that the boot up time increased significantly after the scrape. The loading screen holds for around 2 minutes, is that normal? 2. About the scrapping results of mame and fba games, V1 gives good picture quality but lacks of description. V2 gives good descriptions but the screenshots looks pretty bad. Is there anyway to improve the situation by adjusting the parameters of the batch files? 3. It looks like the scrape.exe does not work with FDS, MSX, SG-1000, MegaCD and PCEngine CD. Does anyone have some luck with these systems?

RE: GitHub guide - scraping with PC
YES!! I have tested a few console systems with the latest batch file and it appears to works perfectly. Thank you nickdj, this has made my life much easier. ;-D

RE: GitHub guide - scraping with PC
Looks like Virtual Boy is currently not supported by scraper.exe? Got a lot of error when I try to scrape.
