I recently updated the input code for mame2010. It now supports four players and standard retroarch input remapping. These features may not have made their way to the recalbox version yet, but they will the next time the core is updated on this side.

RE: Probleme mit Romset MAME 0.78
Pardon my response in English.
With a Full Non-Merged MAME 0.78 collection, like the most recent MAME 2003 Reference Set, the BIOS ROM files are inside the game ZIP. It works the same this way -- no separate BIOS needed.

RE: mame2010 tests on pi3
These "speed hack" issues and other core settings issue sound like bugs. Would you consider describing them in a github mame2010 issue? https://github.com/libretro/mame2010-libretro/issues

@markwkidd
DO you mean, every game has its needed bios files directly in his zipfile?
Example metalslug.zip has allready the needed bios in itself?Yes that is true of the MAME 2003 Reference Set "v3" version that is circulating now. For that one
mslug.zip
already includes theneogeo.zip
insidemslug.zip
. No need to have a separateneogeo.zip
for that format. -

I don't know about the CPS1/CPS2 error and it is not logged yet on github: https://github.com/libretro/mame2010-libretro/issues
If the mame2010 core is updated in recalbox and there is still a bug with CPS, please submit a new github Issue and include a log.

RE: Killer Instinct MAME retropie
Killer Instinct 1 and 2 should be working in MAME 2003 but there is a bug that currently prevents it. There is now a bounty open to raise the funds to attract a coder to fix this bug.
The most likely way get these games running would be to contribute to the bounty: https://www.bountysource.com/issues/35638008-regression-in-killer-instinct-1-and-2-support

@markwkidd and add a file select on first screen
@supernature2k and @acris because the file selection button seems to be a popular request here, I investigated and found it was not too difficult to incorporate. There is a new version dated 2017-03-06 with the new feature.

why not add controls.xml too ?
@acris A few months ago when I started this project I couldn't find a controls.xml that matches MAME 0.78, which is my preferred MAME version. Do you know of anywhere that has controls.xml files for older MAMEs?
Of course I could add controls.xml support only for newer MAME version I guess.
Edit: Also it looks like there are not current updated versions of controls.xml now either. It seems like there is only good support for controls.xml around MAME 0.100 through 0.150 but before or after that the controls would not be matched well.
If you or someone else knows more about this than I do please let me know.
edit2: Here is their official forum. It seems like the last time that there was a good version of controls.xml was MAME 0.141 but I have only spent a little time learning about the situation: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,45.0.html

Hello @markwkidd
thanks a lot for your tool , it's very good and very simple
sorry for my english I speak a little bit.@markwkidd I suggest a Browse button for Configure Source
Nice to meet you and thanks! The browse button is a good suggestion. I will add that to the list of feature requests for the next time I am working on the user interface.
