      how many version of mame is already available in Rb 6.1 (mame 2000, mame 2003, mame 2003+, mame 2010, mame 2015, advance mame?)

      i dont have any issue regarding my living place and/or salary, just put back things in perspective when he was saying
      "If we have to stop fixing issues so that people can keep using broken emulation on an outdated 35$ computer instead of buying the new version of that same computer, which handles the fixed emulation, we might as well stop developping emulators",

      mmm maybe you missed the point, you are the develloper of FBneo, of course you are trying to always improve and fixing issue, even if it involve performance, and as you said fbneo is an emulator for desktop computer... here i was speaking to the developpers of recalbox, especially about the Rpi package.

      So let me go in angry mode too:

      First i live in cambodia and y average salary is 600$ which is far above the average salary already, so please come back in consideration what could 35$ represent with this new ratio.

      And second why i couldnt address this issue to RB developers? it is up to them to include the last iteration of FB, but also as they still include old mame version or even FBA2x in regard to less powerfull pi owner, why couldnt they keep both version of FB the 0.39 and the 0.44, knowingthat we cannot use any versus fighting CPS3 game without crackling sound and less than 60 fps as long as we cannot afford at least the pi3b+ (which by the way since the release of pi4 became more aound 55$ nowadays) with the last available RB version ???

      by the way i managed to roll back to FBa .39 as mentionned earlier, and now i can play again all my games at 60 fps , perfect sound, still working even with the last retroarch version and new menu.... i woul have prefered to have the choice to select for each game the core version, because to acheive that without too musch hassle i have to replace the fbneo core with the old one but with same name, meaning all my neo geo roms have to be re tweaked with my personal option. but i am happy with it now, just thinking of all other people facing the same problem....

      well from what i understand , the core need to be recompiled?

      i found a temporary solution by renomming the fba core with same name of fbneo core and it is working, but i would prefer to have the choice between the two for actual roms compability set

      and please developer note that we are in difficult situation with the new fbneo core for every Rpi under the 3b+ with cps3 fighting game (drop in fps also occurs with asura blade and jojo ba)
      update should not bring less performance isnt it ? dont get me wrong i more than aprreciate all the work done, i love RB just want to bring out this problem

      Hello,

      i would like to have back the old core fb liretro from rb 4.1 (which allowed me 60 fbs in SF3 third strike on my pi3b, as the new fbneo doesnt with only 52 fps and crackling sound).

      i found fba_libretro.so file from my old 4.1 image and place it under usr\lib\libretro alongside other cores

      what should i do now to have the possibilty to select this core under the roms metadata core option (as now i can only select the default libretro fbneo core)

      i guess to add a line in es_system.cfg will not be enough, as maybe the option to select the core's name i would write there will be apparent, but it should have another thing to set up somewhere to effetively lunch the wanted core i added...

      any help?

      @barbudreadmon sadly frameskip is poorly impletemented in RB: i tried and it is not related to the actual loss in frame, but to pre determined ratio (1 skip on 2 frame, then 2/3, 3/4, 4/5 and finally 5 skip on 6 frames) meaning i cannot in anyway have a 52 fps that looks fluid with no sound problem.
      I think again it is more a question to ask to RB developper: is it possible in RB 6.1 to roll back to old FBneo core for the one that was present in 4.1, which allowed me 60 fps in SF3 ?

      wow respect for development i didnt know!

      i am thinking of a pi3b+ because i play sf3 too much... or maybe i just saw that a RB 6.2 has been release few days ago, and in the notes they wrotes this:

      B*mp retroarch to v1.8.5
      B*mp retroarch-cheats to v1.8.5
      B*mp libretro-assets on last version
      B*mp libretro-cores family

      so it seems they updated the cores, ut would it still enough on a 3b ?

      i will give a try

      wow thank you so much to confirm me that , do you think a pi3b+ clocked at 1400 mhz would solve the problem ? (one guy told me that he doesnt have these slow down on his pi3b+ so i guess yes)
      i will try what happen with frame skip thanks

      any idea for the blinking controlers?

      Hi everybody,

      So here are my 2 problem:

      • since i updated to 6.1. all my Street Fighter 3 (the 3 version + asura blade and Jojo B.A. ) under FB Neo libretro, suffers slowdown to 53 fps with bad crakling audio... all my bios updated, all roms from the good roms set, no rewind activated, no shader activated.
        My pi is the 3b with 1200 mhz clock, could it be the problem? i heard that things have changed since 4.1 about CPS3? i am pretty sure to didnt have this slow down problem under 4.1.... (also i tried overclock but the game didnt started anymore so i cannot know if it fixe the problem)

      • and my 2nd problem is : my 1st player USB xbox360 always has 4 led blinking when restarting recalbox, the 2nd controler is ok and set to the 2nd led light (upper right). both controlers are normally working.
        Also i can fix the problem by unplugging and then replug the 1st controller once recalbox started, but that us ammoying. I tried to disable PS3 controler drivers in recalbox.conf, withtout success.... any help ?

      haha oui je me suis lance avant ta reponse en fait! change les lignes du debut plus celle en accordance en dessous, en faite je vais juste reduire la courbure, l annuler totalement n est pas top non plus et plus une legere courbe fait office de bezel 😉

      merci bcp de la reponse!... mais meme si je sais remonter en ecriture la partition, la j avoue que je ne sais que faire de ton lien, meme si les distrortion curvature sont assez explicite, je m attendait a voir toutes ces infos en ouvrant le fichier crt-pi.glsl de ma recalboxavec un note pad++ mais y avait loin d avoir tout ca, en fait y aurait il un tuto pour creeer mon shader perso a partir de ton lien?

      J espere grace a ton intervention que ce post servira au plus grand nombre, felicitation et merci pour tout, en esperant qu un jour une simple option automatique CRT sera dispo dans la distro officiel grace a toutes vos contribution.

      J aavais ete etonne apres m etre tape passionement tout le long post sur le CRT avec recalbox , de le voir se finir un peu en queue de poisson, je comprend maintenant.

      Ce post peut servir de conclusion finale en attendant la suite. Pour mes part les mains dans le cambouis j ai trop donne avec hyperspin, pere de 3 enfants a l autre bout du monde, j ai passe 8 jours non stop 10h par jour a le configurer aux petits oigons, passant de noob total a presqu expert en ce laps de temps, mais du coup tout tournant parfaitement j ai tout oublie rapidement et maintenant que ca marche plus ou mal je peux pas y retourner, du coup ma decouverte de recalbox, de raspberry pi etc....

      Le CRT c est mon delire depuis toujours et je m etais croque le cerveau a chercher les nouveaux shader s en rapprochant, ayant la flemme aussi de me fabriquer une carte PC vga 15khz et reconfigurer le hyper spin, grace a vous voila le meilleur soluce de tous les temps, mon RGB pi est en cours d elivraison pour le cambodge, j attend son arrivee pour aller me choisir mon CRT dans un des shop second hand de phnom penh.

      Alors la conclusion niveau info si y en qui cherche:

      le 4.1 modifie par RGB-pi ne marche qu avec le cable gpio 2 scart (plus d hdmi ou de composite du coup), necessite une SD entre 8go pour os et 16go (place pour les roms) pour les dernieres version

      ha ouais non bon ce boitier converti le hdmi en scart, dont le signal video est composite.... un coup dans l'eau retour case depart, bon bah on va faire livrer en france, je vous dirais d ici quelques semaines ou mois si ca marche bien avec leur build

      en meme temps tu me diras composite pour composite je devrais pouvoir tester cet alpha 2 avec la sortie native composite du Rpi 3?...

      et donc vous fair un retour plus rapide, a moins qu il est deja ete fait sur le forum et que j ai loupe un episode 🙂

      il est vrai que je suis a la recherhe d un truc le plus plug and play possible, apres etre rester bloque 8 jours entier a monter mon Hyperspin Perso, qui ne fonctionne plus bien sur mon nouvel ordi, trop la flemme de remettre les mains dans le cambouis 🙂

      Et vu que j etais tombe amoueux des nouveaux shader recent ultra pousses, mais qui demandent de bonnes cartes graphiques, autant passe en CRT, surtout que ya encore plein de reparateur qui font shop d occaz ici a phnom penh.

      ouais mais j y ai pas vu de vga 2 scart, pas trop le temps de me mettre a la soudure...

      De plus je suis au cambodge, livraison trop complexe depuis europe ou usa, refus d envoie ou tres cher, coli souvent perdu ou retourner a l envoyeur, ou alors par DHL sur mais super cher jusqu ici, tout est plus simple et rapide venant de chine (une semaine de livraison), pour ca que j ai mis le lien de aliexpress car c la ou j ai pris mon kit Rpi 3, livraison gratos arrivee sur si bien mis le truc le plus important dans l'adresse: le numero de tel car le facteur ne connait pas bien toutes les adresses 🙂

      voila meme commander un-rgp pi ca serait complique pour moi, devrait le faire livrer en france chez la famille d abord en attendant que quelqu un debarque ici avec dans ses affaires.

      donc le top en fin de compte serait ce boitier la, associe au build alpha de rgb pi.
      Comment se fait il que si ce build marche si bien, il soit pas plus sponsorise par Recalbox, vu que tout est base sur le 4.1?

      leur page manque de tuto en tout cas pour quelqu un qui se lancerai direct en CRT, parce qu au final ca ala ir bien plug and play quand meme, du moins a la vue de la derniere video que j ai poste au dessus.

      Je vais quand meme leur demander ce qu ils pensent du boitier, vu que la livraison du rgb pi serais limite impossible ici a prix raisonable.
