RE: February 2019 Beta Version
Hi guys,
I tested yesterday the latest beta version (x64 pc version) on an older PC with core2duo CPU and AMD Radeon HD 6450 GPU.
It seems that everything works fine for me, excepted HDMI audio.
I was not able to get sound working via HDMI. I tried also to reconfigure it via alsamixer, but without success.
Is this still an unsolved problem, as already mentioned some months ago here, because with version 18.07.13 HDMI sound has worked on same computer? -
NES emulators differences
Hello together,
Yesterday I tried a couple of NES games on my RPi3.
I was not 100 per cent satisfied with the emulation, because some games had some minor glitches or in my feeling not the correct speed. For example, what I can remember: Rad Racer 2 had some glitches in the background. I tried only the default settings, because I had only less time yesterday and will perform further tests today/tomorrow.Has anyone some experience with the different emulators and cores for NES and also for SNES, which want to share here?
A compatibility list would be maybe also a good idea for these systems, if there are some known issues for the default core, for example? ...or is it not so a hot topic, as my impressions were from yesterday?

RE: Pro Pinball Timeshock DosBox RPi3
@roman126 I've running Pro Pinball Timeshock under dosbox (recalbox) on my overclocked RPi3, but also not really playable.
Sound is ok in my case, also the background CD tracks plays quite well. The issue I have is, that the game in general runs to slow. It seems the (emulation) speed from an RPi3 is too slow for such a late dosgame as Timeshock is.
In my case, I have 10-15 fps max. I tried to optimize a lot in settings, but I don't get it really smooth. As from my experience, the last generation of triple A dosgames from 1994 onwards (especially 3D games) are too advanced for the RPi3.
As you already said above, it's also not possible to run the PSX version of Timeshock. I got it working on Retropie, but what I remember, they offer a second emulator core for PSX, with which it has worked.
But as the recalbox team is doing such a good job in general and also with the fast update intervals, maybe a further update will bring us on Recalboxos also a second (for ARM) or updated emulator core for the PSX, which covers the incompatible games.
