Can't access Recalbox.conf through direct access
Recalbox latest version / Raspberry pi 3 Model B
Hello! I was trying to access the Recalbox.conf through the frontend screen by pressing F4 to quit, pressing ALT+F2 to get to the terminal.
I typed in /recalbox/share/system/recalbox.conf but I can't access the file.
it only shows this...
I could access this in the past but now I don't get whats wrong with it.
Please help. Thanks a lot guys!
Recalbox Dragonblaze Struggling to boot emulationstation
I have a raspberry pi model B+ currently running recalbox dragonblaze. It's connected to a VGA monitor with HDMI to VGA converter.
My recalbox struggles in booting into emulationstation after the recalbox splashscreen ends. It just turns to black. I know it boots into emulationstation because I can hear the bg music of emulationstation. But it only shows black screen.
When I reboot it again, sometimes it boots to emulationstation normally but sometimes it's only black screen. It's like a game of chance.
Is Dragonblaze having trouble with a VGA screen? I noticed this only started after I upgraded to dragonblaze.
Is there something I can do in config.txt to cure this issue?
Thanks in advance! This forum really helps a lot.
Player 2 Controller Reset
Currently, I am able to reset/exit my games but only using the Player 1 controller.
I want to be able to reset/exit the games via Player 1 AND PLAYER 2 controllers.
I currently can access the config files and can edit the button designation but there's only 1 designation for the exit/reset which is for player 1 only.
Is there any to way to fix this?
All Users Control Menu = ON
Unified Control Menu = ON
NES Original Resolution
I was just wonderig if how can I make my NES emulator to display the NES native resolution on my Recalbox?
The original resolution of the NES is 299x224.
I changed the video mode of the NES on the recalbox.conf to:
nes.videomode=DMT 4 HDMI
but the DMT 4 HDMI is at 640x480 resolution. I want to achieve the original resolution of the original NES.
Please help. Thanks!
RE: Load Remap File problem
@Gaetan I guess I'm not coming across clearly so let me site an example...
Open a game in mame, for example, CONTRA > Make a custom controller input in this game using retroarch then > "save remap file".
The game will save a configuration file in a config file somewhere named "contra.cfg"
Next, open another game in mame for example METAL SLUG. Now this time I want the controls that I've inputed in CONTRA to be the loaded on METAL SLUG so, > "Load remap file" > select "contra.cfg"
I don't know why but I can't load the contra.cfg onto my METAL SLUG controls. I just want to have 1 .cfg file to load to my other game so I don't have to manually change every controls on every game. I know this is possible, I just don't know how.
Load Remap File problem
Can somebody explain to me how the load remap file works?
For example, I configured my own controller remap file for Marvel vs Capcom (mvs). Then, I opened up Marvel vs. Street Fighter and I want to load the Marvel vs. Capcom remap file on it but for some reason, it does'nt load? Am I doing something wrong?
After I load the remap file, I then press the "save game remap file" before I exit retroarch but still it does not load the Marvel vs. Capcom remap file. Why is that?
A helping hand is much appreciated. Thanks guys!
