@substring
what do you mean with: ... you would need a custom configuration for anything with retroarch ?For every game?
What is you advise? What do you use and the other members from the team?
Is it better to use an usb adapter ? -
RE: Competition Pro Retro
Hi Substring,
thank you for your quick answer.I was wondering how other users play Amiga, C64, Atari ST games? i use to play these games with an competition pro as an teenager. I would like to use one as its like back in the 80s and 90`s :).
The ps3 controller is not the same and feels wrong :(. How do you test these systems?i found this on ebay as an male plug
https://www.ebay.de/i/263554257005?chn=ps&dispItem=1The wirering should not be an problem but what do you mean with ..
"But you'll be vety limited as you won't even be able to fully configure it as expected because it's lacking buttons :/"
i only want to use it to play. For controlling recalbox i would use ps3 controller or keyboard. Is this a problem? Can i use both DB9 and ps3 controller bluetooth?There is an intressintig way to rewire the joystick to support up to 3 Buttons (only for gaming)

Competition Pro Retro
Hi there,
i would like to play Amiga, C64 and Atari ST games with an Competition Pro Retro
https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/de/shop/product/competition-pro-retro.html
This Joystick has an DB9 plug.How can i connect it to my RPI3? What is the best solution?
a) With an USB-Adapter? But which one has no delay and woks with recalbox?
b) With direkt wired to the GPIOs?There are an DB9-section in the config-file. How does it work?
Thank you in advance

Competition Pro Retro
DB9 Controllers
Enable DB9 drivers for atari, megadrive, amiga controllers (0,1)
controllers.db9.enabled=0
db9 arguments
controllers.db9.args=map=1
Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe und Anregeungen
Gruß
