Recalbox fork is using new version of Kodi for a while now and it's working good, fast and smooth there.

Bad news. But Recalbox users need a good replacement in this case. Maybe fixing screenscraper, so it will not try to use 404 html pages as PNG images, or allowing users to enter their own thegamesdb API keys. Or maybe parsing thegamesdb html, which is kind of a dirty way, but may work if done correctly.

Yep, I know this trick. The problem is that for me now scraper can't find anything, even if I manually enter for example "Battletoads" it immediately replies "No results, skip".

But if I will use a screenscraper instead of thegamesdb, it works, but screenscraper always had problem with broken images on any Rasbperry Pi OS and is useless in my case. I always used thegamesdb without any problems.

Recalbox scraper can't find any games on thegamesdb now. It worked fine recently, but now it isn't working for about a week or more.

I've done a search and looks like noone is talking about this problem. So I see 2 possible reasons of that:

• It's working for everyone else
• It's a common problem that can't be fixed for now

More likely it's the first one. Is there a good way for me to troubleshoot the issue and find the source of the problem? Maybe it's some kind of rare bug that can be fixed in future for Recalbox.

Hey. I have some more info about this issue. Usually I encounter it when I try to watch IPTV with Recalbox built-in Kodi, but as I've tested out it's not an IPTV related decoding issue, it depends on stream what Kodi is trying to decode with the help of hardware acceleration.

I've captured the same stream into a file without reencoding and it still outputs garbage in Recalbox Kodi.

This doesn't happen in Kodi on other Raspberry OS distributions.

Kodi in Recalbox outputs garbage instead of video with hardware acceleration enabled on Raspberry Pi 3. In both Retropie and Batocera it's working perfectly on the same board.

Hello. There is a big issue with recalbox-emulationstation russian translation in official builds: it's incomplete, it's wrong, it's not even following uppercase style of emulationstation. But at the same time POEditor translation at project/hEp5Khj4Ck was fully complete a year ago.
So Recalbox doesn't accept translations any more?
