    • RE: How to remove battery indicator display ?

      Hi!

It sounds like your system is displaying a battery indicator overlay. To remove it, try the following based on your setup:

      1. If Using EmuELEC or Batocera:
Go to Main Menu > UI Settings and look for an option related to battery display.
Some themes have battery indicators enabled by default—switching to a different theme may remove it.
      2. If Using RetroPie on a Handheld Device:
If you have a script generating the overlay, check your /opt/retropie/configs/all/autostart.sh file for any battery-related commands.
You can disable any script running cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/capacity or similar.
      3. If Using a Custom Theme in EmulationStation:
Some themes hardcode battery icons. Try switching to a different theme under UI Settings > Theme.
If the icon is part of the theme, you may need to edit the theme’s XML files (located in /etc/emulationstation/themes/your_theme).
Let me know what system you're using, and I can give more specific steps! 😊

    • RE: Rgb on pc, x86 for crt, is it posible?

      Hey there,

It's awesome to hear that you have Recalbox running smoothly on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a VGA666 and RGB setup on a CRT monitor. It's a unique and nostalgic gaming experience! Now, regarding your question about achieving the same setup on a PC with an AMD card, here's some information.

Recalbox is primarily designed for single-board computers like the Raspberry Pi, and it may not have official support for running directly on a PC with an AMD card. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible to achieve a similar setup.

To explore the possibilities, you could consider using a PC emulator or virtual machine with an operating system that supports Recalbox. For instance, you could install a lightweight Linux distribution, such as RetroArch, Lakka, or Batocera, on your PC and configure it to emulate the same gaming experience as Recalbox. These distributions often have better compatibility with PC hardware, including AMD graphics cards.

Another option is to look into specialized front-end software like EmulationStation or RetroPie, which can be installed on a PC running Windows or Linux. These front-ends allow you to organize and launch your emulated games while providing a user-friendly interface. While they may not offer the same plug-and-play experience as Recalbox on a Raspberry Pi, they can still provide a similar gaming environment.

I recommend exploring forums and communities dedicated to retro gaming enthusiasts, as they might have more specific knowledge and experience with running Recalbox-like setups on PCs with AMD cards. Sharing your question there could yield valuable insights and possible solutions.

I hope this information helps you in your quest to recreate the Recalbox experience on a PC with an AMD card. Good luck, and enjoy your retro gaming adventures!
